In business for over 40 years, John Kennedy started this company in 1980 to best serve the community he loves. He is certified by the CertainTeed Corporation. John does all the estimating for the company. We are a roofing contractor that specializes in roof replacement and roof repair and home sidings. Our continuing goal is to keep meeting expectations by providing quality materials, precise craftsmanship, and responsive customer service. We have the experience to get the job done quickly, efficiently, and cost-effectively. We offer a fair price along with fair business practices in every job that we do.

Kennedy Roofing Specialists have been a pillar in the Portage Lakes community for many years. Each year, they proudly partner with Portage Path Behavioral Health for KJ's 5k for Mental Health & Animal Rescue. After Shari Kennedy lost her son to suicide, she and one of her son’s coworkers, Chris Campos, joined forces with Portage Path Behavioral Health to create KJ’s 5k. Because KJ loved animals and loved to run, a 5k seemed the ideal way to honor KJ’s memory while also raising awareness and increasing resources available to fight mental health and suicide.

Suicide is a silent epidemic. People rarely talk about it. And because of that, people do not seek or receive the help they need. While suicide does not get the media attention of mass shootings, bombings, or drug overdoses, suicide is the cause of 45,000 deaths each year in the United States. And for every one death, 25 people make an attempt. EVERY ONE of these deaths and suicide attempts was preventable with proper treatment.
